He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall. -Psalms 91:4
This is one of those verses that just brings you comfort. God takes us under His wings and protects us. Under those wings we can find refuge and He is like a big shield surrounding us. I love how it states that He will cover you and completely protect you. That is what we have available in God, but how many times do we force ourselves out from under those wings because “we got this”? God is not pushy, He will not force His protection on you if you decide you want to live life without Him because He wants you to make the choice, out of your own free will, to follow Him and live in His protection. The benefits to follow Him far outweigh any short lived pleasure that the enemy might be enticing us with.
