Take Action

Good Morning!

Now when Jacob (Israel) learned that there was grain in Egypt, he said to his sons, “Why are you staring at one another [in bewilderment and not taking action]?”  -Genesis 42:1

Sometimes we just need to get in action. There are times that God might want you to just get in action in order to fulfill what He has for you. There are a lot of incidents in the Bible that God’s people had to move and do their part in it before God could do what He had planned for them. Same is still true today, if we just sit around and wait for God to fix everything for us it might not happen, sometimes we need to get in motion. God cannot guide our steps if we are not taking any steps. Don’t get me wrong though, we should never just blindly do things without some discernment, we should always test what we are about to do to make sure it lines up with Godliness. Jacob didn’t tell his sons to just go get grain wherever, he had a plan and sent them to Egypt. We too should have a plan that lines up with what we know of God and then let God direct our steps as we go.

Dad Joke of the Day:

I walked past a boy sitting on the steps of his house stroking a large, white feather.

I said, “Young man, there’s no need to feel down.”

Have a great Thursday!
