Good Morning!
But as for you, be clear-headed in every situation [stay calm and cool and steady], endure every hardship [without flinching], do the work of an evangelist, fulfill [the duties of] your ministry. -2 Timothy 4:5
This is a tall order and one that is pretty much impossible to fulfill without the help from the Holy Spirit. We have a lot of things that come at us every single day, sometimes all day long, that can derail us if we let them. How many times do we let one conversation or one incident determine the outcome of the day? The above verse says to stay clear-headed, and to endure every hardship without flinching, then on top of that do the work of an evangelist. I take that as not only are we to take everything in stride, not get derailed, meet the hard things head on, but do it all in a Godly manner. Sounds like a tall order? It is if we try to do it ourselves, but that is not how God designed it. He designed it for us to focus on Him through it all, keep the big picture perspective, and do the right thing. It truly is only possible with Him in your life. And if you have a day where you don’t walk this out, God is a forgiving God and will forget about yesterday if we repent and move forward with the right mindset. Let’s put on our Godly armor and not let the devil derail us today.
“Giving up on a goal because of a setback is like slashing your other 3 tires because you got a flat.”
“When you fix your thoughts on God, God fixes your thoughts.”
Dad Joke of the Day:
I bought satin sheets and satin pajamas.
Just went to jump into bed and ended up in the neighbor’s flower garden!
Have a great Friday!
