Good Morning!
Just look at your own calling, believers; not many [of you were considered] wise according to human standards, not many powerful or influential, not many of high and noble birth. -1 Corinthians 1:26
I love this verse because God calls us to much bigger things than what we could do on the world’s terms. When we have the blessing of God and a calling from God, He opens doors that can only be opened by Him. Some of the most influential Godly leaders in the world came from a beginning that, in the world’s terms, wouldn’t have had a chance to impact as many people as they did. Look at Jesus and where He started out at, He was born in the humblest of all settings, in a barn. He was poor growing up yet gained great influence as He grew older and has impacted billions of people across the whole world still today, over 2000 years later. Billy Graham was raised on a dairy farm and became one of the world’s most well known pastors that impacted millions and pastored to several presidents of the United States. Stadiums filled to the maximum repeatedly to listen to him preach. He couldn’t have orchestrated that, God made it happen because of Billy’s obedience in growing the Kingdom. My point is, what God calls us to do He will most definitely open the doors to make it happen, but it does take our obedience in order to move forward with it. Let’s not let our past determine our perception of our future. Let’s let God determine our future and let us just follow His direction.
“Don’t stay in the boat when God is calling you to step out on the water.”
“When God calls you to something, He is not calling you to succeed, He’s calling you to obey. The success of the calling is up to Him; the obedience is up to you.” -David Wilkerson
