Doing God’s Work

Good Morning!

And pray for me, that words may be given to me when I open my mouth, to proclaim boldly the mystery of the good news [of salvation].  -Ephesians 6:19

I feel like this is a good reminder that we cannot do God’s work on our own strength. We need God’s help to do God’s work. When we try to speak to someone on our own strength and we seemed to have helped them, oftentimes that will tend to turn to pride because we think that it was us that helped them and not God’s provision. When we let pride set in we tend to become arrogant and lose the Godly humility that we should have and we build ourselves up in a way that we can’t let ourselves fail, but what we don’t realize that eventually, if we are being held up by our own strength, we will fall and higher we build ourselves up the harder the fall. When we lean heavily on God and His provision when talking to someone, we know that there will be success, not in our own strength but in His and if we are able to operate in His strength the pride is not there, the selfishness is not there, and without either one of those the enemy cannot get his foothold in our mission/ministry because we have the power of God on our side.

Dad Joke of the Day:

Just got 30 minutes of cardio trying to pick up an ice cube from the kitchen floor.

Have a great Wednesday!
