Good Morning!
I will give them a heart to know Me, [understanding fully] that I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart. -Jeremiah 24:7
When we submit ourselves to God, He gives us a heart to know Him, to understand His holiness and worthiness of our praise and worship. When we understand that, the relationship between us and Him will only grow to point where our whole heart belongs to God. As we get to that point everything we do in life points towards Him. The way we interact in our marriage, the way we raise our children, the way we do business, the way we go about living out our careers, the way we spend our free time, the conversations we have, all points to God in some way. Our life pointing to God doesn’t mean that we have to talk about God non-stop, it means that our values, our morals, our demeanor, and our actions align with the values and morals that are taught in scripture. This verse again points to the fact that the closer we draw to God the closer God will draw to us; the closer we are to Him the more we will see the benefits and fulfillment that comes from following God.
“There’s a difference between knowing God and knowing about God. When you truly know God, you have energy to serve Him, boldness to share Him, and contentment in Him.” J.I. Packer
“When our focus is on God’s purpose over our plans, we are freed from the pressure they create.” -Christina Patterson
