Humble Yourselves Before the Lord, and He Will Lift You Up.

Good Morning!

Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose].  -James 4:10

There are times where we can get ahead of ourselves and go full force into something without fully seeking God on it and making sure we follow His lead. We may go into something (career, ministry, organization) that we think is what we want and ask God to come with us. What if we instead, followed God and go where He leads us to? And if we are in the midst of a career, ministry, or organization and we haven’t pursued God in that, we can still do that, we can still pursue God in whatever we are doing. He may just ask you to stay right where you are and just shift your purpose to line up with His. God can use any situation for His Glory, but He may just ask you to be a part in bringing that to fruition; He can only do that if we are ok with Him getting the glory.

“Living God’s way means putting away our self-centeredness and committing yourself to follow God’s Word in spite of any feelings to the contrary.”  -John C. Broger

“God uses such seemingly insignificant ways to prepare us for the plan He has for our lives.”  -Corrie Ten Boom

Dad Joke of the Day:
What do you call a rooster staring at a pile of lettuce?

A chicken sees a salad.

Have a great Wednesday!
