Good Morning!
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying and praising and honoring God with a loud voice; and he lay face downward at Jesus’ feet, thanking Him [over and over]. He was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked, “Were not ten [of you] cleansed? Where are the [other] nine? Was there no one found to return and to give thanks and praise to God, except this foreigner?” -Luke 17:15-18
How many times do we ask something of God and then overlook the fact that He answered our ask because it didn’t happen when or how we had in our mind it would happen? I don’t do the best job at being consistent with it but I try to keep a prayer journal and occasionally I will look back through it and it is absolutely amazing, the majority of the prayers that I wrote out have been answered…the sad part of it is, I didn’t recognize it until I read it again. It makes me extremely grateful but it always makes me think, how many prayers have been answered that God never got the credit for. In the above verse, the nine that walked away without thanking Jesus, were they ungrateful? Or did they just get caught up in themselves and forget to give credit where it was due? How many times do we get caught up in our busyness of business that we forget to take the time to thank God for answered prayers, for allowing us to wake up another day, giving us the freedom and privilege to do work?
“Giving credit where credit is due is a very rewarding habit to form. It’s rewards are inestimable.” -Loretta Young
“Don’t shine for others to see you. Shine so that through you, others can see Him.”
Dad Joke of the Day:
I told my doctor that I broke my arm in two places.
He told me to stop going to those places
