Happy New Year!

All nations whom You have made shall come and kneel down in worship before You, O Lord, and they shall glorify Your name. For You are great and do wondrous works! You alone are God.  -Psalms 86:9-10 AMP

This is a great image to start the new year. God is all powerful, God is all wonderful and does wondrous works, God is the beginning and the end, God is our counselor, God is our comforter, God understands our every situation even when nobody else might, God lends an ear when we need it, God gives us advice when we need it, God gives us discernment. There is no aspect of your life that will not improve if God is part of it. God being part of our life may not mean it is easy but rarely does easy stuff help us improve. I love how this verse ends with “You alone are God” meaning we always have the temptations of making other things gods in our lives like money, or lifestyle, or even religion, but when we recognize that God is all encompassing and wants our full attention, not muddied with other gods, is where our life will thrive. What will be your focus in this new year of 2025? What will you change to bring you closer to God in 2025? What part of the all-encompassing God are we shutting out of our life that we need to open up to Him? I pray that God moves in big ways in your lives in 2025. Be the light, be the change.
