Good Morning!
No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon [that is, your earthly possessions or anything else you trust in and rely on instead of God]. -Luke 16:13
Oftentimes this is referred to as money since that is the most obvious one where people tend to put their trust into instead of God, but this can also mean a lot of other things. This goes for anything that you trust more in than God. Most of us would say we trust in God, but is it God plus something else, or fully in God? Do we seek our fulfillment in how we are living for God or do we seek fulfillment in money, our career, our hobbies, etc.? Seeking God will bring fulfillment in the journey. Seeking other things you strive to get to fulfillment without actually ever getting there as the destination is always getting pushed further out. What will you seek today?
“One day or day one. You decide.”
“God has a plan for your life. The enemy has a plan for your life. Be ready for both. Be wise enough to know which to battle and which to embrace.”
Dad Joke of the Day:
I’ve opened a can of worms.
They just sit there, the worms. Hardly the chaos that’s been advertised.
Have a great Friday!
