Whenever you possibly can, do good to those who need it.

Good Morning!

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due [its rightful recipients], when it is in your power to do it.  -Proverbs 3:27

This is second nature to some people where they are always pouring out good either in donating time or money. You could argue that when donating your time or your money, that the place or people that you are donating to aren’t necessarily due whatever you are providing, but I would argue that they are, if we are following Jesus’ teaching. Too many times we give with strings attached, in that we have an opinion on how our resources should have been used or we fear that we may have been scammed. While we need to use wisdom, we also need to give with the right heart and trust that God will use it for good no matter what our fears. Another way this verse applies is that when we have the ability to build someone up with words and we choose to hold on to those words, we are withholding good. When we have those chances, let’s use them, the ripple effect that can have is far greater than we might ever know.

“Doing good to others is not a duty. It is a joy, for it increases your own health and happiness.”  -Zoroaster

“The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.”  -Samuel Johnson

Dad Joke of the Day:

I’ll bet Waldo owed some people money.

You don’t get that good at hiding for no reason.

Have a great Thursday!
