Good Morning!
Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances. -Philippians 4:11
There is something to say about being content right where you are, regardless your circumstances. People have surmounted great difficulties by focusing on the things they can be grateful for. Now I realize that is much easier said than done but if we wait to implement it until we are in the midst of a difficulty than it will be next to impossible, but if we can make it a habit to be grateful, if we are able to make it a soundtrack in our mind, when things are going good we will have much better success during difficult times. Plus, when we practice it in general and make it a soundtrack in our mind our outlook and life will start to look a lot different…..better. What can you do today to start changing your soundtracks?
“The more you practice the art of thankfulness, the more you have to be thankful for.” -Norman Vincent Peale
“When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them for gratitude.” -G.K. Chesterton
Dad Joke of the Day:
When is a door not a door?
When it’s ajar.
Have a great Thursday!
