Declare His Glory Among the Nations

Good Morning!

Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all peoples. For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared [with awe-filled reverence] above all gods.  -1 Chronicles 16:23-25 AMP

We are to continually praise the Lord, there is even scripture that tells us to stay in constant prayer. When I first read these scriptures I thought it to be impossible but while I can’t say that I do it anywhere as much as I want to, I can see how it is possible. I think being in constant awareness of God and His goodness is what this is referring to. When things are going good, praise Jesus. When things are going rough, pray to Jesus to help you through it. When someone crosses your mind randomly, pray for them in whatever they may be battling since it wasn’t by chance that they crossed your mind. We don’t have to sit or kneel somewhere every time we think we should pray, we can do it while we are in the midst of doing things. That is how we can do what the verse above states and how we can stay in constant prayer and praise. It is about being aware of God in every thing we encounter and sharing what God does for you (praise). Do we hold God in the reverence that He deserves? Do we praise and pray continually?

“Be unceasing and persistent in prayer.”  -1 Thessalonians 5:17

“The greatness of God rouses fear within us, but His goodness encourages us not to be afraid of Him. To fear and not be afraid- that is paradox of faith.”  -A.W.Tozer

Dad Joke of the Day:

A minute varies depending on what side of the bathroom door you’re on.

Have a great Monday!
