2 Corinthians 7:1

Good Morning!

Therefore, since we have these [great and wonderful] promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, completing holiness [living a consecrated life—a life set apart for God’s purpose] in the fear of God.  -2 Corinthians 7:1

Do we have things in our lives that don’t line up with the person, the Christian, we want to be? Maybe its an addiction that tears us down constantly. Maybe we have habits that tend to take us down a rabbit hole that isn’t healthy for us physically, mentally, or spiritually. Maybe we take in content that doesn’t help us be in the best frame of mind or skews our frame of mind to where we start believing something that isn’t truth. Whatever it is, it can be overcome. The verse above refers to promises of God and if you read the end of 2 Corinthians chapter 6 it gives you those promises. God says He will dwell among us, He tells us to stay clean and separate us from the evil. We are to live a life set apart for God’s purpose. God will give us the strength to overcome whatever it is that is making us unclean, but He cannot do that if we don’t let Him in and take over our lives. Focus on Him, invest time in your relationship with Him. Believe it, live it, spread it.
