Know Your Enemy

Good Morning!

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.  -Ephesians 6:12

Oftentimes we get offended by something a person said where that person might not have meant it in that way at all. That is one example where the enemy loves to make us believe a certain way and makes us offended where the other person is innocent. If we can remember to always give the other person the benefit of the doubt, that is working against what the enemy wants us to do. I challenge you to take it a bit further though, and choose not to be offended even when the person did mean to offend you…. then you will really frustrate the enemy. The battle is not in the physical but in the spiritual realm, remember that next time you are about to get offended.

“We should be too big to take offense and too noble to give it.”  -Abraham Lincoln

“If you are on a continuous search to be offended, you will always find what you are looking for; even when it isn’t there.”  -Bill Kellogg
