Sow Peace

Good Morning!

And the seed whose fruit is righteousness (spiritual maturity) is sown in peace by those who make peace [by actively encouraging goodwill between individuals].  -James 3:18

Sometimes we tend to get wrapped up in the gossip and don’t take that opportunity to speak goodness into a situation because it is way more enticing to just gossip. The above verse states that when we sow peace, when we sow goodness the fruit of that is righteousness. When you think of a righteous person they are almost always not what you would consider a gossip. When you think of a time where you participated in gossip, I am pretty sure that you didn’t think yourself as righteous afterwards when you had time to think of what all you said and how that made you feel. What steps can you take today to sow goodness and peace?

“The greatest enemy to human souls is the self-righteous spirit which makes men look to themselves for salvation.”  -Charles Spurgeon

“It’s easy to stand with the crowd. It takes courage to stand alone.”
