Spirit of God

Good Morning!

For what person knows the thoughts and motives of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So also no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God.  -1 Corinthians 2:11-12

Nobody knows our thoughts and motives unless we communicate them and even then, they can be heard in a different way we intended them to be heard because everyone is coming from their own experiences and hearing it through their own lens. We as Christians have God’s Holy Spirit in us and that is how God reveals things to us either through prayer, or revelation of scripture, or through a sermon, or maybe in conversation with someone. The awesome thing is that God comes to us right where we are at, He reveals His thoughts to us in a way that we receive it as He intended it, He knows what life experiences we have had and how to communicate to us that we relate to it in the way that He is relaying it. God wants to share His thoughts with us, right where we are, all we have to do is open up our heart and listen.

“Instead of trying to figure out exactly how and why God should speak to you, know that God speaks to you exactly the way you need to listen.”

“Never limit God’s capacity for action on your life by thinking He is only interested in the supremely spiritual.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

I informed my family that someone in the house was secretly an owl in disguise and our oldest daughter asked, “Who?”

Honestly, never suspected her.

Have a great Wednesday!
