Good Morning!
For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12
The Word of God (the Bible) when read and spoken with sincerity has a way of coming alive and changing lives. The above verse says that it is alive, active, and full of power. You know how social media and the news can make you feel down and almost depressed at times, or it has a way of raising your anxiety depending on what you are taking in? The Bible has the opposite affect, it will bring you peace, it will bring you calm, it will raise your self-worth, and most importantly it will usher you into the presence of God to where you can have a relationship with Him. The next time you are scrolling social media and you get off of it feeling anxious or you feel down, I challenge you to spend some time reading the Bible and see if you don’t feel better and experience a calmer, more peaceful demeanor. But you also don’t have to wait until you feel down, pick it up now and read it, there is never a bad time to take in some Bible time.
“The Bible is a wonderful book. It contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the fate of sinners, and the happiness of believers.” -Martin Luther
“The Bible is the source of comfort and assurance in times of trouble and distress.” -Martin Luther
Dad Joke of the Day:
I grilled a chicken for two hours….
It still wouldn’t tell me why it crossed the road.
Have a great Tuesday!
