Psalms 23:5

Good Morning!

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed and refreshed my head with oil; My cup overflows.  -Psalms 23:5

I am not a Bible scholar but what I take from this verse is that God will provide for you no matter what. He will not shy away from being there for you just because your enemies are near, if anything He is even more present, He is preparing a table for you as a symbol of His provision. Back in Biblical times anointing someone’s head with oil was almost like if you offered someone a shower today. It was a form of refreshment and rejuvenation. So not only will He provide for you in the midst of your enemies but He will also bless you and refresh you. What an awesome God we serve!

“Many people want to be anointed, but they forget that the anointing comes with a purpose that is worked out in the presence of their enemies.”  -Lisa Bevere

Dad Joke of the Day:

Nurse: what happened to your fingers?

Me: you know those chefs who cut up vegetables really fast?

Nurse: yes

Me: I can’t do that.

Have a great Thursday!
