Good Morning!

You too, be patient; strengthen your hearts [keep them energized and firmly committed to God], because the coming of the Lord is near. -James 5:8

There are times when we think God should work in a certain way, and we think He should do it at a certain time. God doesn’t work on our timeline and rarely does things happen as we imagine they should but almost always it turns out better than what we could have imagined once we see the big picture. What we need to practice is patience and in that waiting we need to strengthen our hearts as the above verse states. Ways to strengthen our hearts is to stay engaged in reading scripture, building church community, and producing fruit coherent with God. Remember, God’s timing has never and will never be off.
