Good Morning!

Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own. -Philippians 3:12

None of us are perfect, but we should strive to be perfect. Jesus was perfect and gave us the perfect example on what that looks like. Everything He did was done right, every conversation He had was meaningful and purposeful, He was humble, He did not let the world around Him influence Him, and a person’s status didn’t determine whether He chose to hang out with them or not. The verse above states that Christ Jesus took ahold of us and made us His own. We are Jesus’ ambassadors on earth and therefore should strive to be like Him. We will have days where we fail but don’t let that stop you from trying to do better. Every day is a new beginning and the first day of the rest of your life, therefore we need to seize the day and make the most of it.
