Set Your Mind

Good Morning!

Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. -Colossians 3:2

It is really easy to go through the day and get wrapped up in things that are only temporary. It is easy to get offended and make a big deal out of something that will not matter down the road or in the big picture of life. We have to go against the norm, upstream, uphill in the snow to keep our mind on things above, to look at the big picture, to not get offended. In other words, it’s not easy and it is hard work, but it is so rewarding afterwards to be able to look back and know that you handled that ‘thing’ the way God would have desired you handle it. In the same way we should also refrain from saying something, or word it in a way that causes the least likelihood of offense when talking to other people. Let us keep our focus on God and not on our flesh.

“We are called to be world changers, not world chasers.”

“Light can be found in even the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn to the light.”

Does anyone want a pack of dead batteries?

They are free of charge.

Have a great Wednesday!
