Good Morning!
Armor of God Breakdown Series
So stand firm and hold your ground, having tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist. -Ephesians 6:14
Some Bible versions say ‘having girded your lions with truth’. From what I understand back in the biblical era they had wide belts to tuck all their loose clothing into as they prepared to go into battle which they called ‘gird up your loins’ in order to be able to move better and not have any loose clothing in the way. Putting on our wide belt of truth I believe to mean that we should not have a bunch of loose half-truth or untrue thoughts roaming about getting in the way of the spiritual warfare that we are in every day, but we are to focus on the truth and get rid of the doubt that the enemy likes to slip in our minds. We are to stand firm and hold our ground.
“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” -William James
“The enemy is not after your money or your stuff. He wants your mind. Your attitude. Your heart. Your faith. Your peace. Understand that you’re not being attacked over the tangible things in your life. The enemy is fighting you over the things you can’t see.”
Dad Joke of the Day:

Have a great Monday!
