God is Faithful

Good Morning!

No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. -1 Corinthians 10:13

We all deal with temptations of sorts and like stated above, there is a very likely chance that the temptation that we are struggling with is the same temptation that someone else has struggled with. We are not the only ones in our struggle and if we have a relationship with God we are most definitely not alone in fighting the temptation. Satan will tempt us in making us believe it is not a big deal and that it’s common, but then once we give into temptation will flip around and make us believe we are on an island and that we are the only ones in our situation and therefore convincing us that we do not want to go to anyone for help. God is faithful in giving us wisdom and strength to overcome the temptations, and if we focus on Him we will get encouragement, not condemnation.

“Holiness is not freedom from temptation, but power to overcome temptation.” -G. Campbell Morgan

“Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation leans on the doorbell.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

I went bald years ago but still carry around an old comb with me.

I just can’t part with it.

Have a great beginning to the week leading up to Christmas!
