The Liberty of Yours

Good Morning!

Only be careful that this liberty of yours [this power to choose] does not somehow become a stumbling block [that is, a temptation to sin] to the weak [in conscience]. For through your knowledge (spiritual maturity) this weak man is ruined [that is, he suffers in his spiritual life], the brother for whom Christ died. And when you sin against the brothers and sisters in this way and wound their weak conscience [by confusing them], you sin against Christ. -1 Corinthians 8:9, 11-12

As Christians we have a responsibility for our fellow man. We have to remember that just because something isn’t a temptation for us that leads to sin doesn’t mean that’s true for the guy/gal that is next to you. Let us not get so focused on exercising our freedoms that we forget how it might affect the person next to us. This can pertain to a lot of different areas of life and if you look at some of the most common clutches that our world struggles with, is there something that we are doing that other people are looking off of us for conviction? Something we know that could very easily lead them down a path of destruction?

“The art of growing old is the art of being regarded by the oncoming generations as a support and not a stumbling block.” -Andre Maurois

“Deliberately seek the company of people who influence you to think and act on building the life you desire.” -Napoleon Hill

Dad Joke of the Day:

Think of a number between 0 and 10. Add 32 to it. Multiply the sum by 2, and then subtract 1. Now close your eyes. It’s dark, isn’t it?

Have a great Friday and awesome weekend!
