Battle in the Mind

For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.  -2 Corinthians 10:3-4 AMP

The greatest battles are fought in our minds and those battles are not won by weapons of man. The above verses say that our weapons, the weapons we are given when we have Christ on our side and in our heart, are divinely powerful, meaning that we have God fighting for us in our battle of life. When we walk out, act out, and speak out what our flesh desires, we will start wars in the flesh and in the minds of others and create separation from fellowship with God. How we respond to situations, how we let our thoughts track from situations, determines not only how our day will go and how our faith walk will go, but it will often determine how the day goes for those around you. In what way can you make your co-worker, spouse, or your child’s day better by changing how you fight your battles in your mind?

Dad Joke of the Day:

My wife called to tell me she saw a fox on the way to work.

I asked her how she knew it was on its way to work.

She hung up on me.
