Good Morning,

If you, then, being evil [that is, sinful by nature], know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him! -Luke 11:13

How often do we get caught up in thinking that God is domineering and just waiting for us to mess up to where He can smite us in some way? We know that is not the case yet subconsciously we might still think that way. That is not the case, God wants to bless us, He wants us to flourish. We get a lot of delight in giving our children gifts that we know they will enjoy immensely, even more than that God delights in giving us what we need to flourish in life, the Holy Spirit. It says He will give to those who ask and continue to ask.
