The Body

Good Morning!

So that there would be no division or discord in the body [that is, lack of adaptation of the parts to each other], but that the parts may have the same concern for one another. And if one member suffers, all the parts share the suffering; if one member is honored, all rejoice with it. Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body, and individually [you are] members of it [each with his own special purpose and function]. -1 Corinthians 12:25-27

As Christians we are all part of the Body of Christ. When there is a fellow Christian hurting do we hurt with them? If the leg is limping does the rest of the Body slow down with it, hurt with it, pick up the extra weight to make it easier on the leg that is limping? Same way with when a fellow Christian is celebrating are we celebrating with them? Do we consider the local church we go to as the only Body? Do we see the churches outside our local church as part of the Body? Can you imagine if all the churches truly worked together as one body, the impact that would be made in the world? Let’s go and be the body of Christ!
