Walk Habitually in the Holy Spirit

Good Morning!

But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts].  -Galatians 5:16

If we walk in the Holy Spirit and we stay in check with Him we certainly will not walk in our flesh. Light sends darkness cowering in the corner and there is nothing that darkness can do about it, but light is intentional and it takes energy to produce light where darkness is the lack of energy, lack of intention. Same is with our lives, if we walk in the Holy Spirit the enemy has no choice but to go cower in the corner, but walking in the Spirit takes intentionality and will not “just happen” without us taking the initiative to make God part of our lives.

“It’s not about fighting the lust of the flesh so that we can walk in the Holy Spirit. It’s about walking in the Spirit so that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”  -Vlad Savchuk

“Instead of using ‘I’m human’ as an excuse to walk in the flesh, let us use ‘I’m saved’ as a reason to walk in the Spirit”

Dad Joke of the Day:

I asked the surgeon: “Can I administer my own anesthetic?”

The surgeon said: “Go ahead, knock yourself out.”

Have a great Friday and an awesome Independence Day weekend!
