Good Morning!
But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name. -John 1:12
He extends the offer to all of us to be His children and it is up to us if we take up that offer to be a part of God’s family. As any good parent wants what is best for their children, so God wants what is best for us. What is best for our children is not always what they think is best for them, but from our life experiences, our past, and our discernment we know that giving them all they want is not a good way to develop them into the adult we desire them to become. I think in a lot of instances it is the same with God, and there are times when we are praying for something or wanting something but if we saw the big picture we would understand why God doesn’t answer that prayer in the way we think it should be answered. If we trust that God wants what’s best for us and will do for us what is best, then it makes it easier to trust that He will work it all out for good.

Dad Joke of the Day:
When I am around my Spanish-speaking friends I always use the word “mucho”……It means a lot to them.
Have a great Thursday!
