Jesus is the Great Physician

Good Morning!

And Jesus replied to them, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but [only] those who are sick. I did not come to call the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to repent], but sinners to repentance [to change their old way of thinking, to turn from sin and to seek God and His righteousness].”  -Luke 5:31-32 AMP

It is hard to help someone that doesn’t want the help, in fact, it’s pretty much impossible. Preceding this verse, the Pharisees were questioning why Jesus was hanging out with tax collectors and sinners (tax collectors were considered some of the worst people at that time because of how they cheated people out of money). Jesus response to them was the above verse. If we let pride stand in the way of truly following God, we will never fully experience what it means to follow Jesus. In what way do we let pride get in the way?

“Every great move forward in your life begins with a leap of faith, a step into the unknown.”  -Brian Tracy

“Pride will always be the longest distance between two people.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

Someone asked me what the 9th letter of the alphabet was.

It was a complete guess, but I was right.

Have a great Monday!
