Discard Your Anxiety Like Marcus Aurelius

Good Morning!

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  -Philippians 4:6-7

This is something that is hard for me to remember to do, but when you feel that anxiety well up within you don’t forget to turn to God in prayer and remember to count your blessings. As our pastor pointed out several weeks ago in a sermon, research shows it is hard to be both grateful and anxious, so when you feel the anxiety coming on focus on what you are grateful for in life.

“Today I escaped anxiety. Or no, I discarded it, because it was within me, in my own perceptions, not outside.”  -Marcus Aurelius

“No God, no peace; know God, know peace.”  -Croft M. Pentz

Dad Joke of the Day: Toilet stolen from police station. Cops have nothing to go on.

Have a great Friday and weekend!
