Do not judge [others self-righteously], and you will not be judged; do not condemn [others when you are guilty and unrepentant], and you will not be condemned [for your hypocrisy]; pardon [others when they truly repent and change], and you will be pardoned [when you truly repent and change]. -Luke 6:37 AMP
When someone does something offensive to us what should our response be? Or if someone does something that we would never do and it just doesn’t make sense to us, what should we do? According to the verse above we should not judge others thinking we are more righteous than they. We should not condemn them, deciding what should happen to them. And if and when they change for the better, we should give them the benefit of the doubt and pardon them from their offenses. All that it says to do, so that we may receive the same when we are out of line or indifferent from others. We can not expect all those benefits from others if we are not willing to dish them out. I think we have all experienced where we unfairly judged people only to later find out we were completely wrong and were way too harsh; if we make it practice to live out the verse above we will not have to deal with that. How can we set reminders to live and love as Christ asked us to?
