Pleasing God is More Important Than Pleasing People

Good Morning!

Am I now trying to win the favor and approval of men, or of God? Or am I seeking to please someone? If I were still trying to be popular with men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.  -Galatians 1:10

While it is good to do our best to have good relationships with people we should never put that over our relationship with God. The enemy loves to put us in situations where we might be tempted to go against our convictions in order to get the approval of another person. We should stand firm in God and never abandon our faith, even for a little bit, in order to please another person. I believe in most cases we can be a servant of God and still gain the respect of the people around us, but serving God should always be superior to gaining approval of people.

Never play tennis with a cymbal.

It makes a terrible racket.

Have a good Wednesday!
