Good Morning!
The servant of the Lord must not participate in quarrels, but must be kind to everyone [even-tempered, preserving peace, and he must be], skilled in teaching, patient and tolerant when wronged. -2 Timothy 2:24 AMP
This is a tall order but the individual that does this successfully is someone that puts a lot of effort into their thought patterns in not letting themselves get offended and relies heavily on and has an excellent relationship with God. It is interesting to me that it categorizes being skilled in teaching in with being patient and tolerant when wronged. In today’s world being a successful teacher, be it school/workplace/church, takes a lot of patient and tolerance. Tolerance when wronged doesn’t mean that you can’t have boundaries and standards, it just means you take your selfishness out of the picture and tolerance with boundaries yet without selfishness, is patience.
“Patience is not the ability to wait but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.” -Joyce Meyer
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” -Benjamin Franklin
