We should test everything we hear to make sure it is truth and is of God. How is that possible? It is possible by studying and digesting the Bible, by allowing the Word to change your life, to revolve your life around having relationship with God and knowing His Word in our hearts. We should never blindly follow any human but test their teaching to Scripture. These devotionals are a good example of something that should be tested; the verses above are truth, this addition that I put on is written by me, a human, and therefore should be tested. That doesn’t mean that we can’t trust anyone, quite the contrary, we need to have other people to digest scripture with, to do Bible study with, as that is what the Bible teaches us to do but it is still each of our own’s responsibility to mature in our knowledge of scripture and our relationship with God.
