Breaking Free From the Slavery of Sin

Good Morning!

Jesus answered, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, everyone who practices sin habitually is a slave of sin.”  -John 8:34

Anybody that has been wrapped up in sin or living a life that is not God honoring knows that feeling, that feeling like you are a slave to something, not totally free and not fulfilled. You will only experience true fulfillment in God. I know for myself, when I get busy and don’t get time to spend time in God’s Word it feels like I am slowly slipping into darkness, like a slave to busyness, but when I am intentional in my relationship with God, He never fails to pull me back out to where I can be free and lead a fulfilling life. Be intentional today.

“The sinner prides himself on his independence, completely overlooking the fact that he is the weak slave of the sins that rule his members.”  -A.W. Tozer

“We must of necessity be servant to someone, either to God or to sin. The man who surrenders to Christ exchanges a cruel slave driver for a kind and gentle master whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light.”   -A.W. Tozer

Dad Joke of the Day:

Found out all four of my sons want to be valets when they grow up.

My doctor said that’s the worst case of parking sons disease he’s ever heard of.

Have a great Thursday!
