I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another. -John 13:34-35
Do we love each other like Jesus loves us? We are to love one another like Jesus loves. That is to forgive quickly, to love without hopes of something in return, to love unselfishly, to give the other person the benefit of the doubt. When someone hurts us, are we loving them in return? Or are we avoiding all contact, or worse, trying to figure how to get even? Let us love as Jesus did…
