Good Morning!
Opening his mouth, Peter said: “Most certainly I understand now that God is not one to show partiality [to people as though Gentiles were excluded from God’s blessing], but in every nation the person who fears God and does what is right [by seeking Him] is acceptable and welcomed by Him. -Acts 10:34-35
How often do we decide what a Christian should look like and anyone that doesn’t fit that look we kind of throw out the idea that they are devout Christians? Or we get caught up in our own way of doing church and any church that doesn’t look like ours is, maybe in our mind, not as legit? Through Jesus there is no limitations who can be a Christian or where there can be Christians, and while the church we might all go to are excellent churches, we have to keep in mind that we are all part of the bigger church of God. We are all called to work together to spread the Gospel, to spread Jesus, and that might not always look like we think it will as was the case in the above scripture where Peter went and preached to the Gentiles for the first time. If we walked the earth back in Jesus’ time, would we have recognized Him as the Messiah or would we have been like the Pharisees?
“We will never change the world by going to church, we will only change the world by being the church.”
“The devil is not afraid of people going to church, he is afraid of people becoming the church.”
Dad Joke of the Day:
Yesterday I spotted an albino Dalmatian.
It was the least I could do for him.
Have a great Monday! Go change the world!
