Good Morning!
Be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. -1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
This time of the year around Thanksgiving is always a good reminder of what we are thankful for. The above verse says to be unceasing and persistent in prayer, if we can have a prayer filled life we can have a fulfilled life. Writing prayers down and then going back later and reading them is faith building as you realize how many of those prayers got answered and it creates a thankfulness and builds trust and faith in God.
In every situation there are bad things to focus on and there are things that we can focus on that are good, that we can be thankful for. What you get out of every situation and out of life is based on which of those you focus on. A person that never seems to have a bad day is not that way by accident, they just choose to focus on the good and not dwell on the bad. If you catch yourself focusing on the bad ask God to help you see the good.
“We can all see God in exceptional things, but it requires the culture of spiritual discipline to see God in every detail.” -Oswald Chambers
“Often finding meaning is not about doing things differently; it is about seeing familiar things in new ways.” -Rachel Naomi Remen
Dad Joke of the Day:
You can tell an ant’s gender by putting it in some water. If it sinks, girl ant. If it floats, buoyant.
Have a great Friday and an awesome weekend!
