Good Morning!
Therefore, my beloved, run [keep far, far away] from [any sort of] idolatry [and that includes loving anything more than God, or participating in anything that leads to sin and enslaves the soul]. -1 Corinthians 10:14
I don’t think this verse was haphazardly written, but that ‘run’ (or ‘flee’, as some translations have it) was used intentionally. Running or fleeing takes intentionality and urgency. Idolatry can be anything that gets in the way from making God the most important thing in your life and it looks different for everyone. In some cases it is a matter of setting healthy boundaries around what that vice might be. In other cases it is a matter of removing ourselves completely and setting up boundaries to never get close to it. We aren’t meant to do it alone, so if need be reach out to someone you trust to figure out what those boundaries/guardrails need to look like.

“Single-handedly managed the successful upgrade and deployment of a new environmental illumination system with zero cost overruns and no safety incidents.”
Have a great Wednesday!
