Grace of God

Good Morning!

I do not ignore or nullify the [gracious gift of the] grace of God [His amazing, unmerited favor], for if righteousness comes through [observing] the Law, then Christ died needlessly. [His suffering and death would have had no purpose whatsoever.]. -Galatians 2:21

Jesus selflessly died for us and through the grace of God we can be saved. If we think we can earn our way into heaven then we are taking away from what He did for us. If it were possible for us to earn our way into heaven then Jesus would have died for no reason. Since none of us are able to achieve perfection it is impossible for us to earn our way in, but because of Jesus’ perfection and Him being the perfect sacrifice for us we are able to be saved through His grace. So what are we doing with that gift? Are we still trying to earn our way in? If so we are taking away from what He did. Our good deeds should come as an extension of His Grace, not as a way to earn our way anywhere.

“There is never a moment in your entire life when God’s grace is not sufficient for you.”

“Grace, like water, flows to the lowest part.” -Philip Yancey

Dad Joke of the Day:

Why won’t the dog listen to the farmer’s sheep jokes?

Because he’s herd them all.

Have a great Tuesday!
