United in Christ

There is one body [of believers] and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when called [to salvation]— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all who is [sovereign] over all and [working] through all and [living] in all. -Ephesians 4:4-6

I think sometimes we, as the body of Christ, forget that we are just that, one body. The Holy Spirit is one Spirit involved in all the different parts of the body. It is not a competition on who is the best part of the body, we all play a role in that body. The body also is not just our own local church, our own local church is part of a bigger body of believers. Let’s remember a kingdom divided against itself cannot conquer. What is cancer? It is part of your body attacking another part of your body and therefore cannot continue to function as it should. The body of Christ (the church) is no different, if we are more worried about competing with another church, or we think we are way better than other churches…we may be the cancer. If we function together as one body, one community, one church, imagine the good that could be done in the world. That much light would send the darkness cowering in the corner because light will always overpower darkness as long we keep it fueled. Let’s go be that light.

“We are one church in so so many locations.”

“We will never change the world by going to church, we will change the world by being the church.”

Dad Joke of the Day:

Why do dogs float on water so easily?

Because they are good buoys.

Have a great Monday!
