Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessing until there is no more room to receive it. -Malachi 3:10
There is a blessing in giving, not only does it help your mental health and becomes a blessing to you but it also blesses others through it. In this verse God says to test Him in by us giving freely with a giving attitude and heart that He will bless us so greatly that we will not have room to receive all the blessing. A lot of us automatically equate this to money and in that if we give away a lot of money God will bless us with more money and while giving money is important and something we should always do, I also encourage you to give away your time and other resources and see how greatly God blesses you in that. If we give freely God will provide for us in a supernatural way. If every time we give, we do it regretfully we will struggle to get any blessing out of it. Your heart posture behind the giving is just as important as the giving.
