Acts 4:13

Good Morning!

Now when the men of the Sanhedrin (Jewish High Court) saw the confidence and boldness of Peter and John, and grasped the fact that they were uneducated and untrained [ordinary] men, they were astounded, and began to recognize that they had been with Jesus.  -Acts 4:13

This is what the power of Jesus can do, Peter and John were speaking and teaching beyond their formal education but because they spent time in Jesus’ presence, they were wise beyond what the outside world perceived them to be. Spending time in the God’s Word (the Bible) and spending time in prayer can do the same thing for you. God nudges us towards wisdom if we pursue him wholeheartedly and will make us wise beyond our surroundings. Just keep in mind that as God gives you wisdom it doesn’t mean that you should wield it as a weapon on people around you, everything we do should be done in love, because without love we are just annoying, clanging cymbals. Wisdom that is derived from God is, however, a great weapon to wield against the enemy (satan).

“The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and they that lack the beginning have neither middle nor end.”  -John Bunyan

“The sum total of all human knowledge is but as a drop of the bucket compared with the wisdom of God.”  -Charles Spurgeon

Dad Joke of the Day:

Sadly, the days of people using proper English are went.

Have a great Wednesday!
