Good Morning!
Let us approach [God] with a true and sincere heart in unqualified assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. -Hebrews 10:22
When we approach God in prayer, do we approach Him with the reverence that He deserves? Do we approach Him with a true and sincere heart? It is pointless to put on an act for God because He can see right through it, then at that point you are only hurting yourself by thinking you can make God believe you are someone you are not. We should put all our evil tendencies aside and approach God with pure and true honesty, no matter how bad we think it is, because He already knows what it is. When we approach God trying to hide something our heart is not in a posture for God to help us. When we approach God as the broken human that we all are then God can do work in us and through us. Through honesty and transparency we gain freedom in Christ.
“Only when we are captured by an overwhelming sense of awe and reverence in the presence of God, will we begin to worship God in spirit and in truth.” -Alistair Begg
“The more reverence we have for the Word of God, the more joy we shall find in it.” -Matthew Henry
Dad Joke of the Day:
A friend suggested putting horse manure on my strawberries…..I’m never doing that again, I’m going back to whipped cream.
Have a great Tuesday!
