Heart’s Desire

Good Morning!

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him also and He will do it.    -Psalms 37:4-5

When we are all in for God, He will give us the desires of our heart. If we trust in Him He will come through. Notice how it says He will give the desires of our heart, not the desires of our flesh. Our flesh is our broken human tendencies and that is where the enemy loves to reside and make us believe that it’s not worth following God, that it will be boring or that we will be weird if we become a Christian. Out of the flesh is where pride and strife come into play. Out of our heart is where our true desires come from and is often the thing that we tend to stifle the most. In that space is where God meets us and helps us experience the trueness in life. That is where we need to focus on and let that override all the baggage that the enemy brings to our lives through our flesh. Our call in life as Christians is to live as Jesus did and when we can truly live out of the heart’s desire for God is when we are following in Jesus’ footsteps.

“What you are is God’s gift to you, what you become is your gift to God.”

“Do you know the living God? Is He, in Jesus, your Father? Be assured that Christianity is something more than forms and creeds, and ceremonies: there is life, and power, and reality in our holy faith.”  -George Muller

Dad Joke of the Day:

Sometimes I question my sanity, but the unicorn in the kitchen told me I’m fine.

Have an awesome weekend!
