Good Morning!
Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and take action; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor abandon you until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.” -1 Chronicles 28:20
When we are doing work for God instead of ourselves there is no need to worry that God will leave us hanging. When we are only going through life living for ourselves we tend to just think about ourselves and how everything affects us which doesn’t leave a lot of room for God to work with us or through us. When we do our work in furthering God’s Kingdom it leaves the door wide open for God to show up and work in our lives and He will by no means allow the work to happen without progress, even if we don’t always see it. This doesn’t mean that you have to quit your job/career and go work in a church or become a pastor, but instead you can just live your life for God in the midst of and through your career. Living your life for Jesus will always be way more rewarding than living your life for yourself. Like the verse above says, be strong and courageous, and take action, do not fear, do not get discouraged. God is with you and will not abandon you.
“God loves you just the way you are, but He refuses to leave you that way.” -Max Lucedo
“Courage is contagious. When a brave man or woman takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” -Billy Graham
Dad Joke of the Day:
Not a single person asked me if I could run fast in my new shoes today.
Being an adult is dumb.
Have a great Thursday!
