Our Lord’s Compassion

Good Morning!

If I say, “My foot has slipped,” Your compassion and lovingkindness, O Lord, will hold me up.  -Psalms 94:18

How many times do we feel like we are on our own and we can’t mess up as there is no one there to catch us or help us? That is not what God intended for us. He is there for us, waiting to help us see it through. When we slip, God is not there to tell us how immature or how terrible we are, He is not there willing to watch us free fall. He is there to help us at the first opportunity that we give Him, the struggle that we have is sometimes we don’t actually give Him the opportunity. Most of our biggest struggles that we have in life (anxiety, comparisons, self-sabotage, addictions, grief, etc.) we will not overcome by ourselves, we need help from the people around us and most importantly, we need God’s help. Just as the verse says, when our foot slips, God’s compassion and lovingkindness will hold us up. Let’s give Him the space He deserves in our life to help us.

Dad Joke of the Day:

Apparently I snore so loudly that it scares everyone in the car I’m driving.

Have a great Tuesday!
