Your Testimony

The one who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies confidently on Him as Savior] has the testimony within himself [because he can speak authoritatively about Christ from his own personal experience]. The one who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him [out to be] a liar, because he has not believed in the evidence that God has given regarding His Son.  -1 John 5:10

This verse is pretty straightforward. When we put our trust in God it starts a journey of faith building that turns into a testimony and through testimony is where we go to war against the enemy. Some of the most powerful ministries are powerful because someone stepped out of their comfort zone, stretched their faith, trusted that God has their back, and vulnerably shared their testimony. God intertwines our life with Him and makes each of our stories unique to where our testimony is one of a kind and He desires that we share it because it is through our stories that He often grows the church. The other part of this verse is when God is at work in someone’s life and they completely ignore it and never give any credit to God they are essentially saying what Jesus did was done in vain because they ignore the evidence that Jesus was the Son of God. Does this mean that you have to get up in front of a crowd and share your testimony? Maybe…if God calls you to do that, but often it might be one on one with someone that you see is struggling, maybe it’s sharing it with your kids or your parents or whoever God directs you to share it with.

Dad Joke of the Day:

I’ve found that nowadays most people don’t like holding hands in public.

Especially if you don’t know them…

Have a great Wednesday!
